Whilst you can research, prepare and create content for your brands social media, no matter how much you obsess over your insights and data collected from your followers, sometimes content can just miss the mark.
It would be near impossible to always have amazing content that is consumed by all your followers all the time. So how do you recover from this and how do you build on your content for next time to make sure it does hit the mark?
Make it shareable
If your content isn’t easy to share then it won’t be shared. Simple. Your brand needs to make sure that the images and videos uploaded to your social media are firstly of high quality and look appealing to your followers. Also that they can be easily shared either by a click of a button, or by a link included in your post.
Title your content to be consumed
On average, you will have mere seconds to grab the attention of your audience. Titles are SO important because of this.
You don’t have to sound like a clickbait article or business to grab the attention of your audience, but you can use words like “How to..” and “Why it’s” at the start of your content.
Asking questions or providing answers in your title will assure your audience wants to read on to find out the answer or more information about your content.
Visuals are key
All posts do better if there is a visual attached. No one can be bothered to just read a straight up status or tweet. People want to watch or view an image.
As well as this, your content is far more likely to be shared online if it has an image or a video. Bright, vibrant, high quality images and videos will be shared far more than lower quality, dull content.
Ask your Audience
If all else fails, you can utilize tools such as Survey Monkey to ask your audience. If you really cannot grasp what your audience is looking for or what content they will consume, it is likely that you just don’t know your audience well enough.
Surveys can help to provide you with a platform to ask your audience directly what they do and don’t like. Don’t expect your audience to willingly jump at your survey though.
Provide your audience with an incentive to complete the survey such as a discount code or a free ebook. If you give something, they will give something.
Get in touch with experts
If you are still failing to grab your audience’s attention, then it may be time to speak to a professional. You can’t be expected to know how to fix EVERY issue that comes up with your brand and speaking to a content specialist could be the easiest way to help your brand be noticed on Social Media!
